TeachMio addresses this by offering parents opportunities to earn income by sharing their passions and skills with the community. Meet Our Founders
Two passionate homeschool parents who turned their vision into reality.
Billy Forkey
Co-founder
A serial entrepreneur with 20 years of experience in logistics and SaaS, Billy believes that young minds are the future and we must protect and nurture them. Father to twin daughters entering 4th grade, Billy and his wife—a dedicated teacher who homeschools their children while working remotely with other homeschool families—are committed to providing better education for their kids and community. Recognizing that the homeschool community needed something more comprehensive, Billy co-founded TeachMio to create the educational platform families truly deserve.
Peter Maxwell
Co-founder
Peter was homeschooled during grade school and has been supporting his wife in their efforts to nurture their two daughters' curiosity through homeschooling for the past five years. With over 18 years in software quality and data analytics at companies like HP and Truckstop.com, Peter brings his knack for problem-solving and teamwork to the homeschooling table, always listening to his family's needs and finding creative ways to support his wife's efforts and enrich their daughters' learning.
